A new firewall

Isn’t Ebay wonderful?

After getting a close look at the firewall, and realising that there was no way it was ever going to be repaired, an ad came up on Ebay.

“This has been a good farm hack on a property but its time to either be canabalised or restored-choice is yours. The motor, gearbox, wiring & dash have been removed. All body is there-door tops are rusty but door bottoms are not. All panels have seen better days. Comes with pedal boxes, both axles as a roller. Firewall is pretty good-minor rust at bottom of footwells only. This has to be cleared by 2 weeks from auction ending so reserve is the start amount -I dont have the heart to send this old girl to the scrappers. Will supply the chassis number if anyone is interested. Pick up by trailer in Springwood lower Blue Mountains. The chassis number is 24310367c-this is an early series 2a.”

This had to be the way to go!

Even better, it’s close to home, and comes from Gary Gjerde (CLR 4WD Parts).

I went around and had a look, put a bid on it and got it.
