The last stages of stripping down – finally.
I got the steering gear off, and eventually managed to get the steering relay unit out. The relay unit was well and truly wedged in, but it came out eventually. I couldn’t get the nut off the lower relay lever, so it’s still attached to the drag link. I’ll get that apart later.
After that I finished getting getting the brakes dismantled, and was left with the axles, springs and chassis.
The pictures below show us getting the axles out, then cutting the chassis in half ready to go to the tip.
The springs went to the tip as well. I agonised a bit over that, but I’ve the parabolics and it didn’t seem worth the effort of getting the springs off and (in particular) storing them. Storage space is getting to be a bit of a problem.
